My first introduction to Melbourne sand belt golf and I can see why it is so highly touted. A real challenge with some seriously tough pin positions on quick greens, very challenging bunkers due to very little sand at the base and greens ringed by bunkers. Great facilities, clubhouse and layout.
A fantastic golf experience. The staff are very friendly and abuse a great from the club rooms. The course is improving and being opened up. The greens are played in a putt on.
In the 1960s I used to come here as a child to push my uncle's golf buggy when he was a member. We were now here for his wake. Parking was almost impossible, simply not enough spots. There are far fewer tries here than in the 60s which detracts from the experience and there seemed to be piles of sand everywhere. The clubhouse was in good repair and the staff were pretty good. The finger food and sandwiches were ok.
Went for a meeting. Last minute request for meal was made with no grumble. Fantastic service.

Greens were only rolling at 12 which for people who don't know like me means putting on glass with a film of WD-40 on it but what a day!!!!
challenging course, steeply green , not easy to manage my strokes. staffs are friendly and club house is some kind of old money style and beauty.
looking forward to playing again here
